Panduan Pemantauan Beacon Bahagian 2

Setiap beacon ini akan memancar secara setiap 3 minit, siang dan malam setiap hari..Setiap beacon akan memancar callsign beacon tersebut dalam mode CW dimana ianya dipancar pada kelajuan 22 wpm diikuti oleh 4 saat daa. Callsign beacon dipancar pada kekuatan 100 watt manakala diikuti oleh daa yang pertama 100 watt, daa yang kedua 10 watt, daa yang ketiga 1 watt dan daa yang keempat 100 miliwatt.

Jadi disini adalah penting bagi kita untuk mendengar transmisi beacon bagi mengenalpasti keadaan propogasi terkini setiap frekuensi. Kegunaan yang lain ialah kita dapat menggunakan fungsi 4 daa tersebut untuk kekuatan pancaran kita. Kita sudah dapat menjimat tenaga pancaran radio kita dan juga mengurangkan penggunaan tenaga elektrik. Jadi disini kita membantu dalam mengurangkan pemanasan global. BETUL TAK!

Contohnya, katakan kita mendapat signal dari beacon LU4AA iaitu dari Argentina dengan kekuatan signal 599 dan pada daa yang keempat pancarannya masih 599. Jadi disini kita boleh memancar ke Argentina hanya pada 100 miliwatt !!! Itu sudah hebat kan...jimat tenaga jauh transmisi pulak...inilah dinamakan QRP.
